0.5teaspoononion powder
0.0to tastesalt and pepper
0.5cupshredded cheddar cheese (optional)
Instructions
Prepare the Green Beans: Start by preheating your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Rinse and trim the green beans, then blanch them in boiling water for about 5 minutes. Drain and immediately transfer them to an ice bath to stop the cooking process. Once cooled, drain again and pat dry.
Mix the Casserole Base: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until well combined.
Combine Ingredients: Add in the blanched green beans and half of the French fried onions to the soup mixture. If you're using cheddar cheese, stir it in at this stage. Ensure all the green beans are coated evenly.
Transfer to the Air Fryer: Lightly grease the air fryer basket with cooking spray, then pour the green bean mixture into the basket or an oven-safe dish that fits in your air fryer. Spread it out evenly.
Cook in the Air Fryer: Air fry the casserole for about 15 minutes at 375°F (190°C). Halfway through the cooking time, give it a gentle shake or stir to avoid sticking.
Add the Finish Touch: Once the casserole has reached a bubbly consistency, sprinkle the remaining French fried onions on top. Air fry for an additional 5-7 minutes until the onions are golden brown and crispy.
Serve: Carefully remove the casserole from the air fryer (it will be hot!) and let it sit for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy this deliciously quick and easy side dish with your favorite main course!
Notes
Can add shredded cheddar cheese for extra creaminess.
