Ingredients

1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces

8 slices of bacon, each cut in half

1/4 cup pure maple syrup

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

1/4 teaspoon salt

Toothpicks (optional, for securing the wraps)

Instructions

Prepare the Chicken: In a large mixing bowl, add the bite-sized chicken pieces along with the garlic powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt. Mix thoroughly until each piece is well coated in the spice blend.

Make the Maple Glaze: In a separate small bowl, whisk the pure maple syrup and Dijon mustard together until the mixture is smooth and well combined. Set aside a few tablespoons of this glaze for drizzling on top after cooking.

Wrap the Chicken: Take a piece of seasoned chicken, dip it into the maple glaze to coat, and then wrap it tightly with half a slice of bacon. If needed, secure the bacon in place using a toothpick. Repeat this wrapping process for all remaining chicken pieces.

Preheat the Air Fryer: Set your air fryer to preheat at 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes to ensure it's hot and ready for cooking.

Arrange in the Air Fryer: Carefully place the bacon-wrapped chicken bites in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding to ensure even cooking; you may need to do this in batches depending on your air fryer's size.

Air Fry the Bites: Cook the chicken bites for 12-15 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time. They are done when the bacon is crispy and the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F.

Glaze Again: In the final minute of cooking, use a brush to apply the remaining maple glaze on top of the chicken bites for that extra layer of sweetness and flavor.

Serve: Once cooked, carefully remove the chicken bites from the air fryer and allow them to cool for a minute before serving. Enjoy them warm, and feel free to drizzle extra maple syrup on top for an added treat!

                    - Presentation Tips: Serve the chicken bites on a rustic wooden platter or a decorative plate, garnished with fresh parsley or chives for a pop of color. Add a small bowl of additional maple syrup for dipping to enhance the dining experience.
