Ingredients

1 lb ribeye steak, thinly sliced

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 medium onion, thinly sliced

1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced

1 cup mushrooms, sliced (optional)

8 oz provolone cheese, sliced

12 slider rolls (Hawaiian or any soft bread)

3 tablespoons mayonnaise

2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Steak: Thinly slice the ribeye steak. For easier slicing, freeze the steak for about 30 minutes beforehand. Once sliced, season it generously with salt and pepper to enhance the flavor.

Sauté the Vegetables: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and green bell peppers, and if you choose to include them, add the mushrooms. Sauté the mixture for about 7-10 minutes, or until the vegetables are soft and have caramelized slightly. Once cooked, remove the vegetables from the skillet and set them aside.

Cook the Steak: Increase the heat to medium-high in the same skillet. Add the seasoned ribeye steak to the pan. Cook for about 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently, until the steak is browned but still tender. Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, ensuring it is evenly distributed throughout the steak.

Combine Ingredients: Reduce the heat back to medium. Add the sautéed vegetables back into the skillet with the steak and stir everything together for about a minute, ensuring all the ingredients are well combined. Remove the skillet from the heat.

Assemble the Sliders: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice the slider rolls in half horizontally and spread mayonnaise on the inside of each half. Place the bottom halves of the rolls into a greased baking dish. Spoon the cheesesteak mixture evenly over the bottom halves, then layer the provolone cheese slices on top of the mixture.

Add the Top Bun: Place the top halves of the slider rolls on top of the cheesesteak and cheese filling. For a touch of richness, you can brush the tops with a little extra olive oil or melted butter (this step is optional but recommended).

Bake: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes. After that, remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbling and the tops are beautifully golden brown.

Garnish and Serve: Once out of the oven, allow the sliders to cool for a few minutes. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley if desired, then cut into individual sliders. Serve warm and enjoy the cheesy goodness!
