Ingredients

1 can of refrigerated cinnamon roll dough (8 rolls)

1 medium apple, cored and cut into 1-inch cubes

6 slices of cooked bacon, cut into 1-inch pieces

1 cup of maple syrup

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

½ cup maple frosting (included in the cinnamon roll package or homemade)

Skewers (wooden or metal)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C) and lining a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.

Prepare the Cinnamon Rolls: Carefully open the can of cinnamon rolls and gently separate each roll. To facilitate skewering, stretch and slightly flatten each roll with your hands.

Assemble the Skewers: Take a skewer and start threading the ingredients: begin with a piece of bacon, followed by a cube of apple, and then a section of cinnamon roll. Repeat this layering until the skewer is filled, ideally finishing with a cinnamon roll piece on top. Leave a little space at both ends of the skewer for easy handling; aim for 2-3 sets of bacon and apple per skewer.

Arrange on Baking Sheet: Position the assembled skewers on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring that they are spaced apart to allow even cooking.

Bake the Skewers: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes. Monitor the skewers until the cinnamon rolls are puffed and golden brown, and the bacon has crisped up nicely.

Prepare the Maple Drizzle: While the skewers bake, combine the maple syrup and ground cinnamon in a small saucepan over low heat. Warm the mixture gently until it is heated through, creating a delightful dipping sauce.

Add Frosting: Once the skewers are baked to golden perfection, remove them from the oven and immediately drizzle the maple frosting generously over the top of each warm skewer for an extra touch of sweetness.

Serve: Transfer the warm skewers to a serving plate. Serve immediately, accompanied by the cinnamon maple syrup for dipping, allowing everyone to enjoy this deliciously interactive breakfast.
