2 cups fresh broccoli florets

1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs (for an extra crunchy texture)

1/4 cup finely grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

1 large egg, beaten

Prep the Broccoli: Begin by thoroughly washing the broccoli. Then, using a sharp knife, trim the florets into bite-sized pieces for even cooking.

    Set Up Your Coating Stations: Prepare three shallow bowls: one for the all-purpose flour, one for the beaten egg, and the third for the coating mixture. In the third bowl, combine the panko breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Stir the mixture until all ingredients are well incorporated.

      Coat the Broccoli: Take each broccoli floret and first roll it in the flour, ensuring it’s evenly coated; tap off any excess flour. Next, dip the floret into the beaten egg, allowing any excess to drip back into the bowl. Finally, roll it in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently but firmly to ensure a good coating.

        Air Fry the Broccoli Bites: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Once preheated, lightly spray the air fryer basket with olive oil to prevent sticking. Arrange the coated broccoli bites in a single layer in the basket, making sure to avoid overcrowding (you may need to work in batches). For added crispness, lightly spray the tops of the broccoli with olive oil.
