4 ripe bananas, mashed

2 cups Greek yogurt (vanilla or plain)

1/2 cup honey or maple syrup

1 cup walnuts, coarsely chopped

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup rolled oats (optional, for added texture)

1/2 cup dark chocolate chips (optional, for a sweet topping)

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C) to achieve a lovely toasted flavor in the base of your bars. Prepare an 8x8-inch baking dish by lining it with parchment paper, allowing some excess paper to hang over the sides for easy removal after baking.

    Combine Wet Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, thoroughly combine the mashed bananas, Greek yogurt, honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir until the mixture achieves a smooth and creamy consistency, ensuring everything is well-blended.

      Prepare Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, mix together the chopped walnuts, ground cinnamon, and rolled oats if you choose to include them. Gradually incorporate this dry mixture into the wet ingredients, folding gently to ensure even distribution without overmixing.
