Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (6 ounces each)

4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened

4 cloves garlic, finely minced

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped

1 tablespoon fresh dill, finely chopped

1 tablespoon fresh chives, finely chopped

Zest of 1 lemon

Juice of 1 lemon

Sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper, to taste

Extra virgin olive oil, for greasing the dish

Lemon slices, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to preheat at 400°F (200°C) to ensure it’s hot and ready for baking.

Make the Garlic Herb Butter: In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened butter with the minced garlic, chopped parsley, dill, chives, lemon zest, and lemon juice. Season the mixture with a pinch of sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper, then stir thoroughly until all ingredients are well integrated into a smooth herb butter.

Season the Salmon Fillets: Take the salmon fillets and gently pat them dry using paper towels. This helps achieve a crispier texture. Evenly sprinkle salt and black pepper on both sides of each fillet, ensuring even seasoning.

Prepare the Baking Dish: Drizzle a small amount of extra virgin olive oil into a baking dish, then use a brush or paper towel to spread it around. This will help prevent the salmon from sticking while baking.

Coat the Salmon with Garlic Herb Butter: Arrange the seasoned salmon fillets in the baking dish, placing them skin-side down. Use a spoon to generously dollop the garlic herb butter mixture over each fillet, ensuring they are coated in the flavorful blend.

Bake the Salmon: Carefully place the baking dish in the preheated oven. Bake for about 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Thicker fillets may require additional time, so keep an eye on them.

Optional Broiling for Extra Crispiness: If you prefer an added crunch, switch your oven to broil mode. Broil the salmon for an additional 2-3 minutes, keeping a close watch to avoid burning, until the tops are golden and slightly crisp.

Serve & Garnish: Once done, carefully remove the dish from the oven. Garnish the salmon with fresh lemon slices and extra herbs if you'd like, then serve immediately with your favorite sides such as roasted vegetables or a fresh salad.
