Ingredients

1 large flour tortilla (10-inch)

6 oz cream cheese, softened to room temperature

1/2 cup diced green chilies (you can use canned or fresh)

1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1/2 cup sliced turkey breast (deli or cooked leftovers)

1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro (optional for extra flavor)

1/4 tsp garlic powder

1/4 tsp onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

1/4 cup sliced black olives (optional, for a briny touch)

Sliced green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Cream Cheese Mixture: In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, diced green chilies, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Using a spatula or fork, mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well blended into a smooth, creamy mixture.

Spread the Mixture: Place the large flour tortilla flat on a clean cutting board or countertop. Using a spatula or knife, evenly distribute the cream cheese mixture over the tortilla, leaving a small border (about 1/2 inch) around the edges to prevent overflow when rolling.

Layer the Turkey and Garnishes: Evenly layer the sliced turkey breast over the cream cheese spread, covering as much of the surface as possible. If you’re using cilantro and black olives, sprinkle them over the turkey for an added burst of flavor and texture.

Roll It Up: Starting at one end of the tortilla, carefully but tightly roll the tortilla toward the opposite end. Make sure to keep the filling secure as you roll; this will create a firm and compact pinwheel.

Slice the Pinwheels: Once rolled, use a sharp knife to slice the tortilla roll into 1-inch thick pinwheels. Try to use a gentle sawing motion to avoid squishing the filling out. If you have additional tortillas or filling, repeat the process.

Serve and Garnish: Arrange the pinwheels on a serving platter. For an extra touch, you can sprinkle sliced green onions on top for garnish. Serve immediately or chill in the refrigerator for up to one hour to allow the flavors to blend before serving.
