1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 cup jasmine rice

1 bunch asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 lemon, juiced and zested

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Salt and black pepper to taste

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Instructions
 

Cook the Jasmine Rice:

    - Rinse jasmine rice under cold running water until the water becomes clear. In a medium saucepan, combine the rinsed rice with 2 cups of water and a pinch of salt.
