Mini Sausage Egg Hash Brown Sliders

2 cups frozen hash browns, thawed

1 pound breakfast sausage, crumbled

6 large eggs

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup milk

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1 tablespoon olive oil

12 mini slider buns

Optional garnishes: sliced avocado, diced tomatoes, chopped fresh cilantro

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to preheat at 400°F (200°C) to prepare for baking the sliders.

    Prepare the Hash Browns: In a large mixing bowl, combine the thawed hash browns with salt and black pepper. Transfer the seasoned hash brown mixture to a greased baking sheet and press it down to create an even, compact layer. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25–30 minutes, or until the hash browns are golden brown and crispy. After baking, remove from the oven and let it cool slightly.

      Cook the Sausage: While the hash browns are in the oven, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the crumbled breakfast sausage and cook until browned and thoroughly cooked through, using a spatula to break it into smaller pieces as it cooks. Once done, remove from the heat and set aside.

        Make the Egg Mixture: In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper until everything is well combined.

          Scramble the Eggs: In a clean skillet set over medium heat, pour in the egg mixture. Scramble gently until the eggs are just set but still slightly undercooked, as they will continue to cook later. Remove from heat and fold in the cooked sausage and shredded cheddar cheese until evenly mixed.

            Assemble the Sliders: Cut the baked hash brown layer into squares that match the size of your mini slider buns. Take the bottom half of each slider bun and place one hash brown square on it. Scoop a generous portion of the sausage and egg mixture on top of the hash brown, then cap it with the top half of the bun.
