Ingredients

8 oz spaghetti

2 tbsp olive oil

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup ricotta cheese

2 large eggs

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh basil leaves, for garnish

Marinara sauce, for serving

Instructions

Cook the Spaghetti: Fill a large pot with salted water and bring it to a boil over high heat. Add the spaghetti and cook according to the package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Once cooked, drain the pasta in a colander and rinse under cold running water to halt the cooking process. This will ensure your spaghetti stays perfectly firm.

Prepare the Noodle Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooled spaghetti with the olive oil, grated Parmesan, shredded mozzarella, ricotta, eggs, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Using a fork or spatula, mix the ingredients until they are uniformly blended, creating a creamy and cheesy mixture.

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C), allowing it sufficient time to reach the desired temperature as you prepare your noodle nests.

Prepare the Muffin Tin: Generously grease a standard muffin tin with non-stick cooking spray or a light coat of olive oil to prevent sticking.

Form Nests in Muffin Tin: With clean, dry hands, scoop out small portions of the noodle mixture, approximately 1/4 cup each. Press the mixture firmly into the muffin tin, creating a small nest shape. Make sure to form a slight indentation in the center of each nest to hold marinara sauce later.

Bake: Transfer the muffin tin to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes. The nests are ready when they are golden brown and crispy around the edges.

Cooling Time: Once baked, carefully remove the tin from the oven and allow the nests to cool for about 5 minutes. To release them easily, run a thin knife around the edges of each nest before gently lifting them out with a fork.

Serve: Arrange the crispy spaghetti nests on a serving platter, adding a fresh basil leaf on top of each for a burst of color and flavor. Serve them warm with a small bowl of marinara sauce on the side for dipping, allowing everyone to enjoy the delightful combination.

                  Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 50 minutes | Servings: 4-6

                    - Serving Suggestion: Consider placing the nests on a bed of arugula or spinach for an elegant presentation and added freshness. Enjoy this fun twist on a classic favorite!
