Ingredients

1 cup fresh spinach, finely chopped

1 cup canned artichoke hearts, drained and finely chopped

1/2 cup cream cheese, softened to room temperature

1/2 cup sour cream

1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 clove garlic, minced

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for a spicy kick)

1 package (1 sheet) of puff pastry, fully thawed

Fresh parsley, finely chopped (for garnish)

Salt and pepper, to taste

Flour, for dusting

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup and to prevent sticking.

Prepare the Filling: In a large mixing bowl, combine the finely chopped spinach, artichoke hearts, softened cream cheese, sour cream, shredded mozzarella, grated Parmesan, minced garlic, onion powder, and red pepper flakes (if desired). Mix thoroughly until the ingredients are well blended into a creamy mixture. Taste your filling and season with salt and pepper as needed.

Roll Out the Puff Pastry: Lightly dust your work surface with flour. Roll out the thawed puff pastry sheet to a thickness of about 1/8 inch. Use a sharp knife or a pastry cutter to cut the sheet into squares or circles, each approximately 3x3 inches in size.

Fill the Pastry: Place a generous spoonful of the spinach-artichoke filling in the center of each pastry square or circle. Be careful not to overfill, as this may cause them to burst while baking.

Seal the Bites: Fold each pastry over to form a triangle (or fold the circles in half), pressing the edges firmly to seal. You can use the tines of a fork to crimp the edges for a decorative touch. For a beautiful golden finish, brush the tops with an optional egg wash made from 1 beaten egg mixed with a tablespoon of water.

Bake: Arrange the filled pastry bites on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring they are spaced apart. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until they are puffed and golden brown on top.

Cool and Serve: Once luxurious and golden brown, remove the bites from the oven and allow them to cool for a few minutes. To elevate the presentation, garnish the bites with a sprinkle of fresh chopped parsley before serving.

Enjoy: Serve these warm magic bites as an enticing appetizer or a delightful party snack, and watch your guests rave about these deliciously satisfying treats!
