Ingredients

24 wonton wrappers

1 can (5 oz) tuna in water, drained

1 ripe avocado, diced into small pieces

2 tablespoons mayonnaise

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon fresh lime juice

1/4 cup red bell pepper, finely chopped

1/4 cup green onions, thinly sliced

Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Cooking spray or olive oil for brushing

Optional: sesame seeds and fresh cilantro leaves for garnish

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C) to ensure it is ready for the wonton cups.

Prepare the Wonton Cups: Take each wonton wrapper and lightly brush one side with olive oil or spray it with cooking spray. Gently press each wrapper into the cups of a mini muffin tin, forming little cups or nests. Make sure to leave enough room in the center to create a pocket for the filling.

Bake the Wonton Wrappers: Place the muffin tin in the preheated oven and bake the wonton cups for approximately 8-10 minutes. Watch for them to turn golden brown and crisp. Once baked, remove the tin from the oven and allow the cups to cool slightly before removing them.

Make the Tuna Avocado Filling: In a medium mixing bowl, combine the drained tuna, diced avocado, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lime juice, chopped red bell pepper, and sliced green onions. Stir gently to mix all ingredients without excessively mashing the avocado. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.

Assemble the Cups: After the wonton cups have cooled, carefully fill each one with the tuna avocado mixture, packing it in lightly to avoid overflow.

Garnish: For an added touch, sprinkle sesame seeds over the filled cups and add a sprig of fresh cilantro on top to enhance both flavor and presentation.

Serve and Enjoy: Enjoy your Mini Tuna Avocado Wonton Cups immediately for the best texture, or refrigerate them for up to an hour to allow the flavors to meld beautifully before serving.
