Ingredients

1 lb ground beef (80/20 mix for optimal juiciness)

1 cup mushrooms, finely chopped (use button or cremini for flavor)

1 small onion, finely diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp Dijon mustard

Salt and pepper, to taste

6 slices Swiss cheese

12 slider buns (mini brioche buns recommended)

2 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp butter

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Mushroom Mixture: Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once the oil is hot and shimmering, add the finely chopped mushrooms and diced onion. Sauté the ingredients for about 5-7 minutes until the mushrooms are browned and the onions are soft and translucent. Add the minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and Dijon mustard to the skillet; stir well and cook for an additional 2 minutes to combine flavors. Season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste, then remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

Make the Beef Patties: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with the cooled mushroom mixture. Using your hands, mix gently but thoroughly to ensure an even distribution of flavors without overworking the meat. Form the mixture into 12 small patties, each about 2-3 inches in diameter.

Cook the Sliders: In the same skillet over medium-high heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Carefully place the beef patties in the skillet (cook in batches if necessary, to avoid overcrowding) and cook for approximately 3-4 minutes on each side or until they reach your preferred level of doneness. In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Swiss cheese on top of each patty, allowing it to melt beautifully.

Toast the Slider Buns: While the beef patties are cooking, prepare the slider buns. In a separate pan, melt a small amount of butter and toast the insides of the buns until they are golden brown and slightly crispy.

Assemble the Sliders: To assemble, place each cheesy beef patty onto the bottom half of the toasted slider buns. Carefully top each slider with the bun tops. For an extra touch, sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley for a burst of color and flavor.

Serve: Arrange the assembled sliders on a serving platter. Pair them with your favorite condiments, such as tangy mustard or creamy aioli, and consider serving them alongside crispy fries or a refreshing salad for a complete meal.
