Prepare the Turkey Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, 0.5 cup cranberry sauce, parsley, sage, thyme, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and onion powder. Mix gently until all the ingredients are evenly incorporated, being careful not to overwork the meat.
Form Sliders: Divide the turkey mixture into 6 equal portions and shape them into patties slightly larger than the buns, as they will shrink while cooking.
Heat the Skillet: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
Cook the Sliders: Once the oil is hot, add the turkey patties to the skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) and the patties are golden brown.
Melt the Cheese: In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of provolone cheese on each turkey slider. Cover the skillet with a lid for that minute to help melt the cheese.
Assemble the Sliders: Once the cheese has melted, remove the patties from the skillet. Place each patty on a slider bun. Add a generous spoonful of cranberry sauce on top, and if you like, a handful of arugula or baby spinach for a fresh crunch.
Serve and Enjoy: Place the tops of the buns on each slider, serve immediately with extra cranberry sauce on the side for dipping.
Notes
Optional toppings include arugula or baby spinach.
